Duran Adam – each Friday 2 p.m. at the ZKM

Duran Adam – The standing man at the ZKM

In solidarity with the democratic protest movement in Turkey, ZKM Chairman Peter Weibel and colleagues have joined with Turkish choreographer Erdem Gündüz in silent protest against Prime Minister Erdogan: they marked their advocacy of human rights and the freedom of speech for a period of fifteen minutes.

Erdem Gündüz is one of many creative individuals in the field of culture, who, each in his own way actively participates in the revolts currently taking place in Turkey – such as a couple who danced the tango on Taksim Square, or the musician who played the piano for hours in the midst of demonstrators and police.

All those who wish to participate in the silent protest are hereby cordially invited to convene on the ZKM forecourt each Friday at 2 p.m.

Invitation to the book presentation: wir stehen. was uns bewegt [we stand. what moves us]

on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 6 p.m. at ZKM | Karlsruhe. Erdem Gündüz will be present.
